ParamDham Patotsav 2020

ParamDham Patotsav at Chinmaya Mission’s Ahmedabad center is one of the most blissful events organised by ParamDham family. On 16th January, the celebration began early in the morning with the Chinmaya Ashtottara Havan. It was followed by Guru Puja and Sampoorna Geeta Parayan in the evening.

On 17th January, in the Prabhaat pheri, the idol of the presiding deity – Lord Venugopal was taken around in a beautifully decorated palanquin and was welcomed by the devotees with aarti and naivedya. All devotees sang Krishna bhajans and danced with love and devotion. In the evening, ParamDham was thronged by more than 1500 people ranging from children to elders, from all walks of life who came to savour delicacies homemade by Chinmaya family, enjoy fun games arranged by Chinmaya Yuva Kendra and enthralling story sessions by amazing storey tellers.

On 18th January, the three-day-long grand celebration ended with the Patotsav puja in the morning and in the evening, a program called “Tad Dhama Paramam Mama” was hosted on the journey of ParamDham that spanned four decades. The evening session resounded with melodious bhajans sung by Chinmaya Swaranjali members. A slideshow, which included antique memories of ParamDham, moved the audience. It was then followed by a talk show hosting the veterans of the ParamDham family who were present during the inception and inauguration of “ParamDham” – a name suggested by Param Pujya Gurudev, Swami Chinmayananda Himself.  All devotees received a special Prasad containing the blessings of Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda ji.

The ParamDham Patotsav is celebrated from 16th to 18th January every year. Block your dates for 2021!
